Q4 Engage Lab:🏆 The Leader’s Performance

The Leader’s Performance 🏆

Lessons from Sport & Performance Psychology

We can learn a great deal about leadership by looking beyond traditional organizational psychology. Sports and performance psychology have spent decades studying what happens when people are expected to perform at a high level—under pressure, in uncertainty, and alongside others. Being a leader can be a lot like being an athlete in training: performance requires preparation, focus, self-regulation, resilience, and the ability to adapt. As we enter the final quarter of the year and begin preparing for what’s ahead, this lab will draw from sports and performance psychology to look at workplace performance through a different lens—and consider what leaders can learn about performing, leading, and sustaining performance when it matters most.
