Engage Quarterly Lab
About LabLab happens quarterly—on the 15th of the first month of each quarter January 15th, April 15th , July 15th , October 15th
These Labs are virtual structured learning events for leaders. Growth requires learning — and leadership requires intentional development. At Lab, we invite psychologists and subject-matter experts to teach, challenge, and expand how we think about leading people.
Created to help you step out of the daily rush, Lab offers space to hear from other leaders, reconnect with what matters, and sharpen how you lead. This event is complimentary for past, current, and future Engage clients.
Whether this is your first session or one of many, Welcome to our Community of Leaders.
Lab Objectives
Community
Leadership shouldn’t be lonely. You’ll meet other leaders navigating the same intensity and learn from each other.
Learning
We curate the best research and ideas so you can stay ahead without having to read every white paper yourself. Learn from top experts in the field of psychology and business.
Partnership
We want to work with you. Lab is a place to learn about our teaching style and see how we can work together.
Who Attends Lab?Lab is designed for the Engage community—past, current, and future clients. We've partnered with hundreds of leaders over the years, and Lab is one of the ways we continue learning together long after an engagement ends. If you're new to Engage, it's also a great opportunity to experience our approach, meet our faculty and partners, and see how we think about leadership.
Lab is especially valuable for:
Private equity-backed executives and leadership teams navigating growth, acquisitions, and constant change.
Marina and maritime leaders committed to developing their people and preparing the next generation of leadership.
Technical, operational, and functional leaders expanding their influence and looking for practical, research-backed leadership tools.
Senior executives seeking fresh insights to lead with greater clarity, confidence, and effectiveness in complex environments.
Whether you're leading a frontline team, an executive team, or an entire organization, Lab provides a quarterly opportunity to step back, learn from the latest research, and return to work with practical ideas you can put into action immediately.
What to Expect at LabLab is a 60-minute virtual event hosted by Engage each quarter. Designed as a webinar, it's an opportunity to step away from the day-to-day, stay current on leadership research, and gain practical insights you can immediately apply.
Research Highlights. Each quarter, Engage reviews the latest research in organizational psychology, leadership, and business to identify the most meaningful findings. We cut through the noise and share the trends, studies, and ideas that matter most to today's leaders.
Featured Topic. Every Lab explores one timely leadership topic inspired by the challenges and patterns we're seeing across our client work. You'll hear practical strategies, real-world examples, and, when appropriate, insights from guest experts, Engage faculty, and trusted partners.
Quarterly Research Question. Each quarter, we ask our community of leaders a research question to better understand what's happening in today's workplaces. We analyze the results, share key findings during Lab, and use those insights to guide future research and conversations.
Whether you prefer to simply listen or join the conversation, you're welcome to participate in the way that works best for you. Many attendees think of Lab as a quarterly leadership check-in—a dedicated hour to reflect, learn, and return to work with fresh ideas.
Q4 Engage Lab: 🧭Resilient & Adaptable Leadership
Change is now a constant feature of modern organizations. Leaders who succeed in these environments are not simply decisive — they are resilient, adaptable, and able to adjust their thinking as circumstances evolve. This lab draws on research from positive psychology to explore the leadership mindsets and behaviors that support resilience and adaptability in times of change. Participants will learn practical frameworks for maintaining perspective, responding constructively to setbacks, and helping their teams stay focused and effective when conditions are uncertain. The session provides leaders with tools to strengthen their own resilience while building teams that can adapt, learn, and perform through change.
Q3 Engage Lab: 🧠Psychological Capital
Change fatigue, uncertainty, and growing division are becoming defining challenges for today's leaders. As organizations continue to navigate constant disruption, new research is shifting how we think about resilience, adaptability, and what people truly need to perform at their best. In this quarter's Engage Lab, we'll explore the latest research and practical strategies for building the psychological capacity that helps leaders and teams stay engaged, connected, and confident through change.
Q2 The Psychology of Team Design
Teams fail and succeed less because of effort—and more because of design.
